  Gratitude for the President of the United States of America

The President of the United States of America is the executive leader of our country.  Our class has studied the qualifications of the President as well as the "Road to the White House." Puma Thinkers have been given the task to write a letter of gratitude for the Presidency of USA. Students are encouraged to write a letter to President Barack Obama, showing him gratitude for his 8 years of service and accomplishments.  An alternative assignment: Students can write to any former, living President of the United States of America, thanking him for his service as president and accomplishments.

• President Jimmy Carter
• President George H. W. Bush
• President Bill Clinton
• President George W. Bush

Criteria

• Letters have a minimum of 3 paragraphs.
• Students will use First Name with Last initial, i.e. Avery H.
• Draft letters will be sent home prior to submission.
• "Do not publish students" will only draft a letter and not submit it.
• Pictures will not be included without parent permission.
• Parent permission is required for the final product.
